Mrs. Williams describes her family growing up as farmers in Florida. She describes coming to Syracuse in 1940 to look for work after she met her children's father. "The Work Was Good" ΓÇô Born in Alachua, Florida to Raymond Williams and Amanda Mitchell, she came to Syracuse in 1940.
