Description
Photo of Moore's Chapel, a church in Cleveland, North Carolina where Amatullah's family is buried. Reflects common image of church in the south. Amatullah's family name is Keaton. All of her deceased ancestors are buried at this church (including Clayton Rockwell and Emma Keaton, her grandparents)" Originally founded in 1795, rebuilt in 1921, rebuilt again in 1981. Coincidentally, the pastor who rebuilt the church in 1981 came from Coxsackie, NY. He was named Howard W. Irvis Sr and married to Muriel Dewitt. He died in 2000.
